• World Genesis Inc.

World Genesis is a full service travel agency established in 2005 by Marta Anicic, a travel agent who after 14 years of helping people move around the Globe realized more can be done by the travel industry. Travel agents like Marta do more than just sell airline tickets, book hotel rooms and rent cars. What truly inspired the creation of World Genesis is her realization that people moving around the world will create more tolerance, understanding and acceptance of cultural and other differences among all inhabitants of the planet Earth. After attending the World Heritage Alliance's celebration of their second successful year in promoting sustainable tourism, a new driving force and passion was born in Marta's heart. She created specialty Travel IS Art tours led by world renowned experts and artists presenting you with a unique opportunity, while visiting a place of your dreams, to experience it with people who are not only knowledgeable about a destination but also passionate about their work and their art. And who better to show you the world around?

New Art Tour – The Art of Traveling with Anja Mutic

Music Festival in Mali, January 2009.

Anja Mutic is a New York-based travel writer whose writing has appeared in major publications like Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Time Out, Travel + Leisure, Caribbean Travel & Life and ShermansTravel. Born in Croatia, she has lived, worked and traveled on all the continents, except Antarctica.

With Anja, things on your tour are very well planned but there is always room to be spontaneous. Discover traveling as an overall experience where all your senses are incited and alert.

Mali’s nomadic Tuareg tribes will open their fifth annual gathering in January of 2009 in Essakane, a Saharan oasis 65km from Timbuktu. Although it is not your tipycal holiday, you are guaranteed a unique cultural experience like no other!

Your “hotel” will be the Tuareg tents and your bed will be ground mats and exclusive World Genesis sleeping bags as desert temperatures in January are hot during the day (35 C/100 F) but quite cold at night (5 C/40 F).

The Tuareg people also known as the “Blue Men of the Desert” are welcoming musicians from Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Ethiopia and many other countries worldwide. The festivities traditionally include singing, dancing, swordplay, camel races and artisans’ exhibits.
